Gastrointestinal Health

 

Gastrointestinal Health Evaluations may include assessment for leaky gut syndrome, food sensitivities, liver, pancreatic and gallbladder health, h.pylori infections (gastric ulcer), comprehensive stool analysis for bacteria, microbial ecology, parasites and intestinal inflammation.


Symptoms of poor GI health may include abdominal distention, constipation, diarrhea, nutritional malabsorption, distress with greasy foods, bloating, bitter metallic taste in mouth, burping, difficulty losing weight, yellow cast to the eyes, reddened skin (especially palms), dry or flaking skin, itching skin, pain in the right shoulder blade or under the rib cage, abdominal pain, heartburn, gastroesophogeal reflux, acne, eczema, excessive hair loss, foul gas, offensive breath and a coated tongue.


In additional to standard laboratory tests advanced functional testing may be recommended.
