Ask for a Functional Health Report
Like a finger print, people are individuals with unique biochemical characteristics. Even for people with the same condition, their contributing imbalances may be very different. Thats why for optimal results, health decisions should incorporate understandable, actionable information about your biochemistry. That is exactly what The Functional Health Report does, so ask Dr. Schimp to run labs to complete a functional health report. Download the sample report at the bottom of this page.
What to expect during a functional medicine consultation. The initial consultation for a functional diagnostic and integrative medicine appointment is 60 minutes. Dr. Schimp requires that intake questionnaires be completed and provided several days in advance of your appointment. If prior lab results are available, this information should also be provided in advance. The initial consultation will be a face-to-face interview and review of your health history. A physical examination and any necessary labs are usually performed at a subsequent follow-up visit. After your labs are completed you will meet with Dr. Schimp to review all results and discuss recommendations. Follow-up visits to monitor progress and repeat labs are schedule at intervals of 1, 2 or 3 months.
Dr. Schimp works with patients of all ages and a broad range of health problems. He is particularly focused on helping individuals reduce their risk for cancer, supporting patients with cancer and helping patients remain cancer free after traditional oncology care.
